EduPas ("the App") is a mobile companion app that lets parents and students access their school's information — such as attendance, bills, grades, messages, and activities — delivered through the Pasforma platform. This policy explains what data the App processes, why, and the choices you have.

Who Controls Your Data

Your school (the institution that issued your access code) is the owner and controller of the student and academic data shown in the App. EduPas and the Pasforma platform act as a service provider (data processor) that displays and manages this data on the school's behalf. Requests to correct or remove academic records should be directed to your school; you may also contact us using the details below.

Information We Process

• •Account information — the name, username or email, and password you use to sign in.
• •School records — provided by your school and linked to your account after you enter a claim code: attendance, grades, assignments, bills and payment history, savings/PASKOIN balance, library and canteen activity, messages, and schedules.
• •Device & notification data — a push notification token so the school can send you announcements and reminders, plus basic technical data needed to keep you signed in securely.
• •Content you provide — such as a profile photo, documents, or attachments you choose to upload, and payment details you enter when paying a school bill or topping up.

How the App Uses Information

Information is used only to provide the school service:

• •To authenticate you and show the data that belongs to your account and your linked child or student.
• •To process school payments and top-ups you initiate.
• •To deliver school announcements, reminders, and messages via push notifications.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or unrelated marketing.

Device Permissions

The App asks for a permission only when a feature needs it, and you can decline or revoke it in your device settings:

• •Camera — to scan QR codes for canteen or attendance features and to take a photo for uploads.
• •Photos — to select a profile picture or attach documents you choose to share.
• •Notifications — to receive school announcements and reminders.
• •Face ID / biometrics — optional, to lock the App on your device for extra security.
• •Other permissions (such as microphone or location) may be requested only by a specific school feature at the moment you use it.

Third-Party Services

To deliver push notifications and process payments, limited data is handled by trusted providers — for example Apple Push Notification service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, and a licensed payment processor when you pay a school bill. These providers process data only to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. EduPas does not include advertising SDKs.

Children's Privacy

EduPas presents information about students, who may be minors. Access is granted only after a parent, guardian, or student enters a claim code issued by the school, so the school controls who can view each student's data. The App does not knowingly collect data directly from children for its own use; all student records originate from and are governed by the school.

Data Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and your session is protected by a secure token. You can enable biometric lock for an additional layer of protection on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Data Retention & Deletion

School records are retained for as long as your school keeps them or as required by law. You can log out at any time from the App. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account or personal data, contact your school or email us at the address below and we will assist in coordination with your school.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
